OWS is a small family barrel business, which includes myself Carol, my two daughters, my husband and my grandson who is only four years old but he can help pack a box J I decided to get into this business on a whim. We specialize in retail sales of mini whiskey barrels and liquor infused cigars. These barrels are used for many reasons particularly for aging alcohol.
How do you think that expensive Jack Daniels or Jim Beam gets to your bar? For Jack and Jim it takes years to age good liquor; but for you, it only takes minimum of 21 days in the comfort of your home.
Our special infusing process allows us to take your favorite liquor and infuse it into a cigar for a delightful smoke that will complement a glass or shot of your favorite spirit. After the infusion process, you can purchase one of our cigar barrels to store your infused cigars and all you have to do is continue to season the barrel. We also take custom orders where we will season your barrel after our infusion process and put your cigars in the barrel for access at any time. All of our cigars are Dominican with a maduro wrapper and you will find that you just cant have one.
Do we travel to events?
We sure do and we also accept requests to do special events such as weddings, bridal parties and bachelor parties. We do vending shows up and down the Mid-Atlantic particularly Maryland, Delaware and the Pennsylvania region for Jazz and Music Festivals, Cultural Festivals, Motorcycle Rallies, and any season festivals. How did we come up with the name OLD WEST SMOKE?
I have an affinity for everything Old West. I can say it actually started when I was a kid and my grandmother and I used to watch the western TV show Gunsmoke together. I really had a serious crush on the marshal Matt Dillon. Not to mention, I always wanted to be Miss Kitty, whom I thought was a bad-ass entrepreneur. Plus she was sassy, smart and wise. This same grandmother is the one that ran a bootleg house and hair salon in her hey-day, which was back in the late 1930’s and early 1940’s. So I guess, in part, you could say my grandmother had a lot to do with my passion of alcohol, the old west and entrepreneurship; oh yeah and we did enlist the help of a branding company to help with the name as well!
